§ Mr. HayhoeThe provisional (whole-time equivalent) total of National Health Service staff directly employed within the South-East Thames regional health authority at 30 September 1985 was 63,260. Of this total, 5.2 per cent. were medical and dental staff (including locums but excluding hospital practitioners and part-time medical-dental officers); 48.7 per cent. were nursing and midwifery staff (including agency staff); and 14.1 per cent. were administrative and clerical staff.
