§ Mr. WhitneyWe have recently received a letter from the registrar of the Royal College of Psychiatrists urging consideration of some change in the law which would empower doctors to ensure that former detained patients who are discharged back to the community continue their treatment. Officials will be having further discussions with the Royal College and others about the recognised difficulties.
