HC Deb 29 April 1986 vol 96 cc355-6W
Mr. Austin Mitchell

asked the Prime Minister (1) whether she tried to discourage President Reagan from using British bases for attacking Libya before finally agreeing to his request; and if she will make a statement;

(2) if she will publish in the Official Report a list of those consulted in the six days prior to the United States attack on Libya; when her consultations were concluded; and when her agreement to the attack was communicated to President Reagan.

The Prime Minister

I have nothing further to add to my statement in the House on 15 April and my speech in the debate on 16 April.
