§ Mr. MellorThe available information relates to proceedings at magistrates' courts for offences of failing to comply with traffic signals (excluding those at pedestrian light-controlled crossings) and is published annually in "Offences Relating to Motor Vehicles, England and Wales, Supplementary Tables" (table 5 of the issue for 1984). In 1984, there were about 35,500 such proceedings.
