asked the Secretary of State for Defence whether the transcripts of the hearing of the Australian Royal Commission on British nuclear tests have been placed in the Library.

I refer the hon. Member to the answer I gave the hon. Member for Islington, South and Finsbury (Mr. Smith) on 19 April 1985 at column279. A copy of the Royal Commission's report is available in the Library.

I will make arrangements for a complete set of transcripts, which amount to 10,424 pages, to be placed in the Public Records Office.
