Mr. Ashley

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) how many people have been awarded payments for industrial disease in the National Health Service in each of the last five years; what is the incidence per thousand workers; and how this compares with the incidence in non Crown premises;

(2) how many industrial accidents have occurred in National Health Service hospitals in each of the last five years; what is the rate per thousand workers; and how this compares with the rate in non Crown premises.
