§ Mr. Giles ShawSeveral of my hon. Friends have expressed support for a further increase in the authorised establishment of the Thames Valley Police. My right hon. Friend will take account of their views when he considers in the autumn the possibility of a further increase for Thames Valley; 370 additional police posts have already been approved for the force since May 1979.
