HC Deb 23 April 1986 vol 96 cc150-1W
Mr. Lawler

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will make a statement on the scope and objectives of his Department's circular 1/85 "Youth Service".

Mr. Dunn

Replies from 76 local education authorities have so far been received. Steps are being taken to assemble the remaining responses and to obtain any further information necessary to a proper study of the matters raised in circular 1/85. I shall write further to my hon. Friend about this in due course.

Mr. Lawler

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science how many local education authorities have yet to respond to his Department's circular 1/85 "Youth Service".

Mr. Dunn

Twenty-two local education authorities have not yet replied substantively.

Mr. Lawler

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what steps are being taken to ensure that all local education authorities respond to his Department's circular 1/85 "Youth Service".
