§ Mr. Corbettasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what steps he has taken, and on what dates, to collect exact details of the acreage of opium poppies to be grown for seed in England and Wales, the variety used and the location of fields where the crop is drilled.
§ Mr. Gummer[pursuant to his reply, 17 April 1986, col 469]: This information will be collected using powers under the Agricultural Statistics Act 1979. As planting of this very limited crop is incomplete the details have not yet been collected.
