HC Deb 21 April 1986 vol 96 c17W
Mr. Freeson

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what requests he has received from the Italian Government, following the signing of a new extradition treaty between Britain and Italy, for the extradition of Roberto Fiore, Massimo and Marinella Morsello, Marcello de Angelis and Stefano Tiraboschi and other Italian convicted terrorists; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Mellor

The extradition treaty between the United Kingdom and Italy which was signed in Florence in March has not yet been ratified. Until it comes into force, extradition between the two countries will continue to take place under the existing 1873 treaty. No Italian extradition requests in connection with terrorist offences have been received in recent months.
