asked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a statement on the interruption of a British military exercise on Salisbury Plain on Thursday 10 April due to the arrival of a United States cruise convoy.

No British military exercise was interrupted on Salisbury Plain on the day in question.

Mr. Strang

asked the Secretary of State for Defence whether the British Government were consulted about the decision to bring out a cruise convoy from Greenham Common on Thursday 10 April.

Arrangements for all off-base cruise missile exercises in this country are agreed by the relevant British and United States authorities.
