§ Mr. Dubsasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will introduce legislation to make it illegal to import, manufacture, sell or possess bullets for use in conjunction with shotgun cartridges.
§ Mr. Giles ShawShotgun cartridges containing five or more shot, none of which exceeds .36 in in diameter, are exempt from control under the Firearms Act 1968 but the insertion of solid pieces of metal such as single, rifled, lead slug in place of the normal pieces of lead shot in such a cartridge would bring the ammunition within certificate control. The possession of such ammunition without a firearms certificate would be an offence under the 1968 Act.
