§ Mr. Dobsonasked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) if he will give for 31 December 1984 for each health district (a) the total number of beds in private hospitals, nursing homes and clinics registered under section 3 of the Nursing Homes Act 1975, (b) the total number of state registered nurses working in those institutions and the appropriate whole-time equivalent figure and (c) the total number of all nursing staff working in those institutions and the appropriate whole-time equivalent figure;
(2) if he will give for 31 December 1984 for each health district (a) the total number of beds in private hospitals, nursing homes and clinics registered under section 3 of the Nursing Homes Act 1975 which contain operating theatres, (b) the total number of state registered nurses working in those institutions and the appropriate whole-time equivalent figure and (c) the total number of all nursing staff working in those institutions and the appropriate whole-time equivalent figure;

(8) what are the total numbers of (a) nursing staff and (b) medical practitioners employed (i) by all the private hospitals, homes and clinics registered on 31 December 1984 under section 3 of the Nursing Homes Act 1975 as amended by the Health Services Act 1980 and (ii) by those private hospitals, homes and clinics which contain operating theatres; and if he will give the figures for each region.
