§ Mr. Weetchasked the Prime Minister if she will make a statement on co-ordination between the Department of Education and Science and the Home Department on Her Majesty's Government's policy towards the reduction of violence and serious disorder in schools.
§ The Prime MinisterThere is good co-ordination between the two Departments at all levels. The policy of the Government is that violence and serious disorder in schools cannot be tolerated and must be tackled firmly and quickly by those responsible at local level.
