§ Mr. Soleyasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) if he will make a statement on the manner in which court appearances of Mr. Joseph Bennett are timed and arranged;
(2) if he will make it his policy that future appearances in court of Mr. Joseph Bennett are announced in the normal way and arranged for days when the court normally sits; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. MellorArrangements for court hearings, including arrangements for public notice of such hearings, are the responsibility of the courts, and it would not be right for my right hon. Friend to intervene in matters of kind.
