§ Mr. Meacherasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what has been the gain from all the measures contained in the Budget statements from 1979 to 1986, inclusive, for the top 1 per cent., 5 per cent., 10 per cent., 20 per cent., 50 per cent., and the remaining 50 per cent., of the population; how many taxpayers are in each of these categories; and what has been the gain per taxpayer in each category.
