HC Deb 10 April 1986 vol 95 c178W
Sir David Price

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what effects he estimates the reductions of staff and funding in the Agricultural Development and Advisory Service, the State Veterinary Service and the Veterinary Investigation Service will have upon the level of disease surveillance of Britain's animal herds and flocks.

Mrs. Fenner

The overall economies and post losses in the Agricultrual Development and Advisory Service which my right hon. Friend the Minister announced on 27 February 1986 are not such as to call into question the viability of present policies on the prevention and eradication of the major animal diseases.
