asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what is the level of fees applicable in Great Britain to the holding of firearms in comparison with what is proposed for Northern Ireland.

(a) For the issue of a firearm certificate 25
(b) For the renewal, variation or replacement of a firearm certificate 20
(c) For the issue of a shotgun certificate 12
(d) For the renewal or replacement of a shotgun certificate 8
(e) For registration as a firearms dealer 58
(f) For renewal of registration as a firearms dealer 36

In Northern Ireland, a firearm certificate is required before any firearm may be held and the scale of fees, which was introduced with effect from 1 January 1986, is:
