HC Deb 10 April 1986 vol 95 c177W
28. Mr. Deakins

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what was the scale of the price cut he proposed on 24 February for cereals under the common agricultural policy, in order to reduce surplus production.

Mr. Jopling

As I told the House on 10 March, I am pressing for a price cut of 3 per cent. in place of the Commission's proposed co-responsibility levy. This is in the context of a range of measures proposed by the Commission that would indirectly reduce cereal prices by considerably more.
