§ Mr. RentonWe continue to seek a more productive and soundly based relationship with the Soviet Union. My right hon. and learned Friend looks forward to welcoming Mr. Shevardnadze to London and to the full programme of bilateral exchanges with the Soviet Union for this year. This includes a visit to the Soviet Union by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Energy later this month, and another by the British group of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, led by my right hon. Friend the Lord President of the Council.
