§ Mrs. Renée Shortasked the Paymaster General what proportion of the additional 2,000 staff who are to be recruited to the employment division of the Manpower Services Commission will be stationed in the west midlands region.
§ Mr. LangRegional employment managers of the Manpower Services Commission are still in the process of determining the allocation of additional staff between jobcentres, community programme offices, area offices and regional offices. There are, however, expected to be around 140 extra staff based in the west midlands.
