§ Mr. WaldenThe case for a review has been raised in the many hundreds of letters received about grant levels proposed for 1986–87 and the proposal to withdraw students from social security benefits; and several Members spoke in favour of a review during the debate on student support on 12 March. However, we remain committed to the view announced by my right hon. Friend on 12 November that no useful purpose would be served by a review which did not include student loans.
