§ Mr. Beggsasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement regarding the most recent discussions which have taken place with the United States of America in relation to present and future funding of the international fund for agricultural development.
§ Mr. RaisonThe United States took part in the last formal discussion in IFAD on funding the organisation which took place from 16 to 18 May. No agreement was then reached on the second replenishment. We are, of course, in regular touch with the United States on this problem.
