Mr. Corbyn

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department to which charitable bodies the Greater London council is entitled to appoint trustees.

Mr. Mellor

The Greater London council is entitled to appoint trustees to a charitable body if the trust instrument provides for such appointments. Information about such charities has been sought from the Greater London council, but has not yet been received.
