§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what representations he has received alleging irregularities in the running of cemeteries in Wales; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. MellorA letter was sent to the Home Office in March of this year complaining about the running of the Cefn Coed cemetery in Merthyr Tydfil. The reply sent explained that this was not the responsibility of the Home Office. A letter to the Prime Minister about the cemetery was also copied to the Home Secretary earlier this month. The burial authority with responsibility for the management of this cemetery is the Merthyr Tydfil borough council.
