§ Mr. ButcherInformation on employment by individual United Kingdom private sector companies is collected by the Department under the Statistics for Trade Act 1947. The provisions of this Act prevent the Department from disclosing information on individual undertakings. Figures for employment in United Kingdom companies are published inThe Times 1000 and in Key British Enterprises by Dunn and Bradstreet, copies of which are available in the House of Commons Library.
