§ Mr. Canavanasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will make a statement about the amount of aid given to the Government of Grenada since October 1983 and about pledges of future aid and conditions attached.
§ Mr. RaisonFigures for part-years are not available but disbursements of British bilateral aid to Grenada for20W 1983 and 1984 were £85,000 and £693,000 respectively. An interest-free loan of £5 million agreed in August 1985 has a 5-year grace period and is repayable over 15 years. It is tied 50 per cent. to British procurement. Grenada will also receive part of a regional grant of £4.5 million towards the cost of a coastguard shore facility at St Georges.
