§ Mr. David HuntMembership of energy management groups has increased by 70 per cent. over the last 2 years, and is still growing.
Many private companies have appointed energy managers after attending ministerial briefings; we are at present conducting a survey to establish the facts. Most local authorities have now designated energy officers. In central Government, the Prime Minister has instructed every Department to appoint an energy manager.
