§ Sir Brandon Rhys Williamsasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will publish a table, for the years 1959, 1979 and the latest for which figures are available, showing net income at average male manual earnings for a single-wage married man with wife and two children aged (a) two and six years and (b) 15 and 17 years, as a percentage of the net income of a single person on the same wage; and if he can show a comparable figure for a typical pre-war year.
