§ Mr. MacGregorThe next public expenditure White Paper will organise spending primarily by Department. A full analysis of expenditure on research 1981–82 to 1986–87 is provided in table 2.1 of the annual review of Government funded research and development 1984, which is available in the Library. Paragraph 1.6 and 1.7 of that report explain the basis on which the figures have been prepared. The 1985 annual review will be published around the end of the year.
