§ Mr. Shersbyasked the Secretary of State for Defence what representations he has received from the hon. Member for Uxbridge concerning alternative uses for the premises occupied by the Aeronautical Quality Assurance Directorate at Harefield; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. LeeMy hon. Friend has made a number of representations, both in person and in writing, to me on this subject and has asked me to consider the possibility of further use of the site by the Ministry of Defence or other Government agencies, or its early disposal for alternative use. All these possibilities are being considered.
On present plans, there will continue to be a quality assurance presence at Harefield until late 1987, albeit on a smaller scale than before.
