§ Mrs. RumboldThe publicity provisions in the Local Government Bill were introduced on the basis of the recommendations of the Widdicombe inquiry's interim report on local authority publicity. The wide range of 533W publicity material considered by the committee of inquiry in the course of its work was sent to it direct by the local authorities concerned.
