HC Deb 26 November 1985 vol 87 cc557-8W
30. Mr. Ashton

asked the Secretary of State for Defence whether he intends to alter the regulations regarding courts martial following the acquittal of the Cyprus airmen.

41. Mr. Loyden

asked the Secretary of State for Defence if he has any plans to review the courts martial procedure.

Mr. Stanley

I cannot anticipate the outcome of the inquiry being conducted by Mr. David Calcutt, QC or of my right hon. Friend's consideration of Mr. Calcutt's report.

Regarding courts martial, I refer the hon. Member to what I said on this matter in the Second Reading debate of the Armed Forces Bill on 21 November at column 439.
