§ Mrs. ChalkerThe standard width of central reservation provided when a side road is linked to a dual carriageway is 10 metres. Exceptionally the width can be increased where high usage by long HGVs is expected. Such usage was not expected at the Tuddenham road junction and as indicated in the answer to my hon. Friend on 15 November, the Department will be discussing with Suffolk county council the possibility of measures to restrain the use of Tuddenham road by non-local heavy goods traffic.
