asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs which Commonwealth and other foreign countries whose citizens enter the United Kingdom without visas, require visas to be obtained by United Kingdom citizens entering their territory.

The table relates only to British citizens seeking entry for a temporary stay. For settlement, regulations differ from country to country. All Commonwealth and foreign nationals (other than from the European Community) require prior entry clearance if they wish to settle in the United Kingdom.
