Mr. Chris Smith

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) if he will list the total number and amounts of renovation grants paid to (a) private landlords and (b) private tenants in (i) England, (ii) Wales and (iii) London in each calendar year since 1980 by type of grant;

(2) if he will list the total number and amount of special grants paid to private landlords in (a) England, (b) Wales and (c) London in each calendar year since 1969.
