§ Mr. Giles ShawThe policing of Gatwick airport is carried out by the Sussex police under a repayment arrangement with the British Airports Authority. It is the170W responsibility of the Sussex police authority to fix the authorised establishment of the force, subject to my right hon. Friend's approval. We have not received an application from the police authority for an increase in the police establishment in order to meet additional policing requirements at Gatwick airport in 1987.
