§ Sir Geoffrey HoweWe remain firmly committed to our policy of working for better East-West relations. We have been active in Europe, 1985 has brought some encouraging developments, in particular the resumption of US-Soviet nuclear arms control negotiations and the meeting between President Reagan and Mr. Gorbachev which is currently under way in Geneva. We hope that meeting will lead to real progress in the arms control negotiations and an improvement in relations between the two countries.
