§ Mr. Buchanan-SmithPursuant to section 3(1) of the Oil and Pipelines Act 1985 I made, on 15 November, the Oil and Pipelines Act 1985 (Appointed Day) Order 1985 (S.I. No 1749) appointing the 1 December 1985 as the date on which the property, rights and liabilities of BNOC are to be transferred to the Oil and Pipelines Agency. The order has the effect of bringing into force section 3, schedule 2 and part I of schedule 4 to the Act.
9WI also made on 15 November the Oil and Pipelines Act 1985 (Commencement) Order 1985 (S.I. No 1748) (c. 41) appointing 1 December 1985 as the date on which all other provisions of the Act are to come into force with the exception of the repeals set out in part II of schedule 4 to the Act which will take effect on the dissolution of BNOC.
