§ Mr. Wrigglesworthasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what is his estimate of the funds which will be forthcoming from local education authorities to ensure the continuance of the microelectronic support unit.
§ Mr. Chris PattenThe microelectronic support unit is being funded by this Department for a period of five years with a budget for 1986–87 of at least £2.2 million. The local education authorities are not being asked to contribute to these costs. The unit will support local authorities in their promotion of new technology in schools.
