§ Mr. WhitneyAs at 31 March 1985, the latest date for which information is available centrally, there were, in north, central and south Manchester district health authorities, which cover the city of Manchester, a total of 13,699 cases awaiting admission to all specialties, of which 499 had been awaiting urgent operations for more than a month and 1,280 were awaiting gynaecological treatment.
