§ Mr. Livseyasked the Minister of Agriculture., Fisheries and Food how much hard milling wheat he estimates will have to be imported over the next 12 months as a result of shortfalls in the quality of some United Kingdom wheat produced in this year's grain harvest.
§ Mr. GummerImport data make no distinction between hard and other wheats. Although it is too early to give an accurate estimate of the quantity, wheat imports this season will clearly be considerably higher than in 1984/85; by mid-October they had reached 515,400 tonnes compared with 251,800 tonnes a year earlier.
