§ Mr. David MitchellAs part of their assessment of proposals for the channel fixed link, the Government are conducting a thorough appraisal of the environmental impact assessment submitted by the four promoters. The decision on whether to go ahead with any scheme selected must be taken by Parliament as a matter of national as well as local significance.
