§ Mr. Lyellasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what representations he has received concerning the refusal of the United States State Department to permit British companies to bid for their foreign buildings operations projects pursuant to section 11 of the Foreign Services Buildings Act of 1926 on the grounds that Britain refuses to allow substantially equal access to United States firms to participate in bidding on British diplomatic and consular building projects.
