§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsIn October 1985, 77,412 persons had been unemployed for over 12 months in Wales; this was 42.4 per cent. of the total unemployed. The corresponding figures for Mid-Glamorgan were 16,518 and 46.3 per cent.
