§ Mr. Heddleasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement on the system for 17W establishing the lawful use of land in the light of his Department's memorandum on the abolition of established use certificates.
§ Mr. TraceyWe do not intend to pursue the proposal to withdraw the right to apply for an established use certificate under section 94 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1971. Further proposals, which we are assessing, on establishing the lawful use of land have recently been made by The Law Society and The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
