§ Mr. MellorThe available information relates to findings of guilt in the calendar year for offences of driving, etc. after consuming alcohol or drugs and is published annually for each police force area in 'Offences Relating to Motor Vehicles, England and Wales, Supplementary Tables' (table 18 of the issue for 1983 and in corresponding tables of earlier volumes; the issue for 1984 will be published shortly). In 1978 and 1979 there were respectively 4,300 and 5,300 such findings of guilt in Wales.
