§ Mrs. FennerSince the enactment of the Food and Environment Protection Act 1985 we have received a number of inquiries from hon. Members about restricting crop spraying activities in or near bult-up areas. The Government recently circulated for comment their proposals for strengthening the already considerable controls in this area in the consultative document issued 57W on 1 November, which deals with the regulations to be made under the Food and Environment Protection Act 1985 to control the use of all pesticides. A copy of the document has been placed in the Library of the House.
