§ Mr. David Atkinsonasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will amend the staff level regulations contained in the Cinematographers Act 1956 to take into account the development of multi-screen cinemas.
§ Mr. Giles ShawMy right hon. and learned Friend will shortly be consulting interested organisations on draft revised regulations to replace the Cinematograph (Safety) Regulations 1955. During the consultation process particular attention will be given to the question of the number of staff to be required in multi-auditoria cinemas consistent with maintaining the safety of the public using those premises.
