§ Mr. Steenasked the Secretary of State for Transport, pursuant to the answer of 20 May, Official Report, column 284, what he envisages will be the effect of publishing interim guidance on the provision of safety fencing on the A38 between Exeter and Plymouth; and for whom the interim guidance will be published.
§ Mrs. ChalkerUntil the new criteria are finalised, their full effect cannot be assessed, but work on assessment has begun, and I shall write to my hon. Friend as soon as it is complete. The updated criteria will be published as a departmental standard and will be available generally through the DOE/DTp publications sales unit.
